A REMINDER : NO NIGHT FISHING ON CLUB WATERS
Any member caught night fishing on club waters will be banned for life, we have had reports of night fishing regularly taking place at the brook, as a result the club in instigating nightly patrols, any member caught WILL be named and shamed.
Busy Town Centre Waters
The town is crazy busy with tourists with the weather being so good and some of the stretches on the recreation ground and the lido are choked up with weed as is our own stretch at Preston on Stour, we badly need some rain but in general as our waters are away from the main boating / swimming / paddle boarding areas in front of the theatre and up the bathing place / lido we have good fishing available and have been keeping the weed down in the seven meadows and in meadow 1 at Manor Farm so enjoy !
Lastly we have some good predator fishing on all waters just now with the river being so clear but especially down the Stannells and Little Luddington farm, here is one of our young members, 15 year old Dominic Denley, who goes to KES and is studying fishing skills for his duke of Edinbrough Bronze award with a nice Pike taken on his first trip out this season, nice one Dom !
Online payments Debit / Credit Card, Paypal and Applepay
We are live with online payment for day tickets via paypal, debit / credit card and Applepay, both for same day tickets if your going fishing right now or booking in advance.
A visiting angler can book a ticket to the Seven Meadows or get an existing member to buy a guest day ticket for any Stratford Angling Association water (except Hampton Lucy Brook which is for full members only to fish).
For this year we have introduced a 2 week holiday pass across all Stratford AA waters (except Hampton Lucy Brook) which you can purchase online only, click here to access the booking page, anyone can book this ticket you do not have to be a member.
When you have booked a day ticket or 2 week pass you will get a confirmation via email and a receipt too, plus an SMS text message on your phone, If you are booking Sameday tickets you will not get an SMS reminder (as your booking to fish right now).
We will be aware of your booking and whilst your fishing you can access your phone to show our bailiffs proof of purchase, they will already have a record of you on their phones when they greet you at our waters.
One big change we are going to introduce is to allow purchasers of this 2 week 'holiday' pass to park at the riverside down on the seven meadows, saving you a load of cash if you want to fish the Stratford Upon Avon Angling Associations Seven Meadows town centre water.
Environment
We have been busy building platforms down the Stannells, at Luddington and the Seven Meadows to help provide a good safe and stable fishing environment, strimming, weed clearing and managing the riverbank to enhance access as well as getting rid of some serious stinging nettles up at the Hampton Lucy brook so you can get to the water relatively pain free !
We are always fighting litter, Stratford upon Avon Angling Association team members regularly carry out sweeps of our stretches and remove litter, discarded tackle and all sorts of junk that gets washed up in floods etc, we care for our environment and have some exciting plans going forward to help protect our waters and sport.
